Georgia. Tbilisi
Tbilisi was my transit point on the way to the mountains, and after completing my main hike, I dedicated a whole day to the capital of Georgia, staying overnight in the very center of the city. I wandered through the old streets, sampled homemade Georgian wine, and in the evening enjoyed khachapuri acharuli at one of the local restaurants... Departing from the village of Kazbegi at nine in the morning, I arrived in Tbilisi by noon. After having breakfast at the bus station with traditional Georgian pastry filled with cheese and egg ( Guruli Gvezeli) I headed to the metro to reach the city's main street, Shota Rustaveli. My hostel was located nearby the metro station. After checking in, resting, and freshening up, I went out to explore the hot Tbilisi. The thermometer read plus 35 degrees...

For dinner, I went to a simple Georgian restaurant near the hostel, ordering khachapuri and local Natakhtari lemonade...
The next morning, I headed to the other end of Georgia, to the mountainous region called Svaneti, where I planned to hike in the mountains a bit more...
