Thailand. Bangkok. Part 1
Bangkok is probably one of the most interesting capitals in the world... So many temples and interesting places are concentrated in the capital of Thailand that it’s worth taking your time before heading to the islands and paying attention to the city...
Arriving at noon, we immediately exchanged money at the airport and took a bus to the tourist area on Khao San Road. We stayed at the authentic Bamboo Guest House, which became our main residence in Bangkok...
Usually, when we arrive in a new city, we don't rest for long, even despite the long flight and significant time difference... We like to "switch on" right away and start getting to know the new atmosphere. This time, after settling in, we set out to explore the city...
Loha Prasat Temple...
The Golden Mount Temple...
The next day, we went to the Royal Palace early in the morning...
After spending over three hours in this incredibly interesting temple complex, we went to the equally fascinating Wat Pho Temple, whose main attraction is the huge reclining Buddha...
The Wat Pho complex also impresses with its exquisite pagodas...
To top off an extremely eventful day, after refreshing ourselves with signature coconut ice cream, we took a boat to the other side to visit the Wat Arun temples...
Since the three most popular temples are very close to each other, we visited them in one day... Thoroughly tired from such a busy day, after viewing the "porcelain temple" Wat Arun, we returned to the pier to have some street food...
Thus ended our second day in Thailand, and the next day we headed to Cambodia to the temple complex of the Khmer civilization - Angkor...
