  We visited Henkerhaus Museum in Nuremberg which is uniquely situated on the Hangman's Bridge (Henkersteg), adding to its historical charm and significance. This location on the bridge itself enhances the museum's atmosphere, providing us with a tangible connection to the medieval era when executioners lived and worked in this part of the city. The museum's offers stunning views of the Pegnitz River and Nuremberg's picturesque Old Town, making it not only a place of historical exploration but also a spot where visitors can appreciate the city's architectural beauty and natural surroundings...


 Pilatushaus in Nuremberg is renowned for its historical significance and architectural charm. Located in the heart of the city's Old Town, this impressive Renaissance building not only serves as a museum but also offers a unique "must see" viewpoint from its top ...
  From there, we enjoyed panoramic views of Nuremberg's medieval streets, showcasing the city's rich history and distinctive red-roofed skyline. The viewpoint from Pilatushaus provided us with a perfect vantage point to admire St. Sebaldus Church, and the bustling market squares below, offering a captivating blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty all in one place.

  Augustiner Zur Schranke is housed in a beautifully preserved historic building that exudes charm and character. Dating back several centuries, the building itself is a testament to Nuremberg's rich architectural heritage, featuring traditional German timber framing and intricate details that transport visitors back in time. Here we enjoyed Augustine beer with pretzel...
  St. Lawrence Church stands as a majestic example of Gothic architecture, with its awe-inspiring interior and impressive stained glass windows...

 At Landbierparadies restaurant, we enjoyed the classic pairing of barrel beer with a delicious plate of sausage, sauerkraut, and freshly baked bread. The sausage was perfectly seasoned, complemented by the crunchy sauerkraut...

 Visiting Nuremberg was a delightful blend of history, culinary delights, and vibrant city life. Exploring landmarks like Pilatushaus and St. Lawrence Church immersed us in the city's rich history, while Henkerhaus Museum offered a glimpse into its darker past. The city's medieval charm was palpable as we wandered through small streets and along the river, soaking in the architecture and atmosphere.
