Norway. Lofoten Islands. Part 3

The most thrilling part of the journey was hiking through Lofoten National Park. The breathtaking lakes, white sandy beaches, fjords, and rocky mountains created an unforgettable landscape. We stayed overnight in our tent at picturesque spots along the Norwegian Sea, experiencing the midnight sun, which added to the adventure in a unique way...
  Map of the route...

Starting our hike to Munkebu Hut, we gradually ventured deeper into the Lofoten National Park...

Reaching the huts by the lake, I climbed higher into the mountains to one of the lookout points, Munken Nordtopp...
From there, new vistas of the surrounding mountains and fjords unfolded...

Next, I moved to another peak to get an unobstructed view of the fjords...

Descending, we continued along the route...

We had to descend sharply down to the sea...

Then, for almost three kilometers, we walked along the fjord on a rather poorly marked and rocky path...
To end the day, we reached Bunes Beach...

In the next photo, it appears as though twilight is approaching, and the sun is about to set. However, this is merely an effect from photographing against the sun as it dipped lower towards the horizon. In reality, there wasn't even a hint of dusk. At the end of June, the sun never sets here...
Even though the sun never set below the horizon, and it was always light, we still lived by the usual schedule of morning and night. Morning on the beach...

Reaching the pier from the beach, we waited for the ferry. The boat, which operates on the fjords about four times a day...

Our goal was to get from one fjord to another to continue our route to the next beach (see map)...

Thus, we took the ferry from Bunesfjord to Kirkefjord...
Leaving the pier and gaining some altitude, we stopped for breakfast. Since it started to rain, we took shelter under a rock...
But the weather quickly improved. The fjord bathed in sunlight...
Our next campsite and the place where we planned to spend the afternoon was Horseid Beach...
This was the most beautiful campsite of our trip, even though every day we set up our tent in very scenic locations...

Due to the beach's remoteness from the main path and ferry, there were almost no people, so we were alone, surrounded by mountains, a white sandy beach, and the clear Norwegian sea...

Here we saw many birds with long red beaks, known as oystercatchers...

The next day, we continued our route, climbing from the beach into the mountains...

Along the way, we encountered a fluffy hare...

Picturesque landscapes accompanied us all the way... A field of cotton grass...
  Approaching the next beach, Kvalvika...

Reaching Kvalvika Beach, we immediately plunged into the cold Norwegian sea, as it was very hot...

Setting up our tent, we stayed here for the night...
We cooked dinner using the Fire-Maple cooking system, which always accompanies us on nature trips...
By the sixth day without nights, we simply went to sleep and woke up whenever we wanted... If desired, we could have walked during the "night" and slept during the day, as there was no significant difference in lighting, and the flashlight was the most unnecessary item in our backpack... Yes, the sun didn't light up everything around as well at night and there were many shadows, but the absence of night left a very strong impression... The phenomenon that had always been part of your life (night) suddenly disappeared... Waking up at four in the morning, we packed up the tent and left the beach...

Leaving Lofoten National Park, we headed to the bus stop, thus completing our route through one of the most beautiful parts of the archipelago... Lofoten offered us fantastic landscapes of sea, mountains, lakes, and white sandy beaches - all in one, which is the main feature of this place on Earth...
