Norway. Lofoten Islands. Part 1

At the end of June, we flew to northern Norway to visit the incredibly picturesque archipelago in the Norwegian Sea – the Lofoten Islands. Our routes were planned for a week-long trip with camping in natural areas, consisting of mountain trekking and visits to charming fishing villages.
Map of the first part of the journey...
Calculating the most optimal travel option, we drove to Gdańsk, left the car in a parking lot for a week, and from there, flew with the low-cost airline Wizz Air to Harstad/Narvik Airport, which is located at the beginning of the archipelago. From the airport, we took bus number 300 to the town of Svolvær...
After buying camping gas at the Biltema hardware store, we hiked up to a lake in the mountains and set up our tent for the night...
Since it was my birthday that day, we brought a Polish cake bought in the duty-free shop at Gdańsk airport...
The next morning, we started with a short hike to the mountain summit, which offered views of Svolvær and the surrounding mountains...

Descending on the other side of the ridge, we encountered the local sheep for the first time, notable for their large, pig-like ears...
Returning to Svolvær, we took a bus towards the town of Leknes, but got off a few stops earlier to head to our next desired location – Hauklandstranda beach...
Although the weather was cloudy and cool, we swam for the first time, feeling the freshness of the Norwegian Sea...
On the shore, we found many colorful shells...
After spending the night on the beach, we hiked up Mannen mountain nearby the next morning. Unfortunately, clouds obscured the views, but we were above the clouds...

Descending to the sea, we walked along the beach and swam in the cold, mist-covered Norwegian Sea...
When the fog cleared, we could fully enjoy the beauty of the place...

Hitchhiking a bit to the next viewpoint, we reached the summit of Offersøykammen mountain, which offered fantastic panoramas of the Lofoten Islands...

Here is the mountain Offersøykammen itself...
We then headed to the next island (the one in the photo ahead). However, the path to it was not via the usual bridge but through an underwater tunnel...
So, descending from the mountain to the road and catching a bus, we continued deeper into the archipelago, passing through underwater tunnels and bridges, heading towards the village of Hamnøy...
