Malta. Mdina

Mdina is located in the center of the island of Malta and was once its capital... This small medieval fortified town is hidden behind fortress walls... It feels like you are entering a castle-museum, but in reality, nearly 300 residents still live there...
  Map of visited places...
  Main entrance to the city...

  St. Paul's Cathedral...
The streets of Mdina are very cozy...

The town's ancient name was Medina, which can be seen on some establishment signs...

Exiting the fortress walls of Mdina and crossing the road, we found ourselves in the town of Rabat... Everything is very close in Malta...

The Collegiate Basilica and Proto-Parish Church of St. Paul...
On the central square next to the church, we tasted traditional Maltese Cannoli (sweet tubes filled with mascarpone cheese)...

Colorful balconies and doors of houses are something that attracts the most attention...

The towns of Mdina, Marsaxlokk, and Valletta are definitely worth visiting on the island of Malta, as they are the most interesting towns on the island...
