Lithuania. Trakai Castle
Trakai Castle is probably the most important landmark in Lithuania, mainly due to its unique location on one of the islands in Lake Galvė within the Trakai Historical National Park. The main activities in the park involve various interactions with the lake... For us, it's already a familiar experience to take kayak trips on the water... This time, we decided to spend the night on an island not far from the castle, to be able to photograph the fortress at different times of the day...
The park contains 32 lakes... Lake Galvė is the largest and has 21 islands...
Trakai is home to a water sports center, so you can see a lot of floating equipment here...
For our overnight stay, we chose a cozy island opposite the castle, where there was a good spot for a tent and a beautiful panorama...
Raising the drone directly from "our" island, we got a slightly different view of the castle...
And around eight in the evening, hot air balloons rose around the castle island...
Waiting until it got dark, we paddled closer to the castle to take night shots...
Thus, we had a small photo journey in Trakai... Although this park doesn't feel as secluded as other natural parks in Lithuania, the beauty of the castle is worth the attention... So this time we circled around the fortress like Buddhists around a stupa, trying to capture its best visual manifestations...
