Lithuania. Aukštaitijos National Park

On an autumn weekend, we went to explore Aukštaitijos National Park, the oldest national park in Lithuania. In two days, we kayaked over 42 kilometers across the park's lakes and took several panoramic photos...
 A map of the route...
Leaving the car in the parking lot in the village of Kaltanėnai, we set off for a two-day journey across the lakes...

In Lithuania's natural parks, amidst many paid campsites and lodges, there are also free places for camping. After paddling 21 kilometers on the first day, we stopped for the night...
In the municipal campsite, everything is clean, and tourists have access to pavilions, campfire sites, tables with benches, and toilets...
In the morning, we returned to the car in Kaltanėnai by the same route. The sun on the second day provided better lighting. There was almost no wind, the water was calm, and launching the drone was much safer, allowing for beautiful shots of the lakes...
How small the kayak looks amid the natural beauty... How small we are in this natural space...

Returning to the village where our car was parked, we deflated and packed the kayak into the trunk, loaded our gear, and headed home. We discovered one of the most interesting places in Lithuania and completed another great kayaking route...
