Turkey. Antalya
We flew to Antalya from Istanbul... This city was the starting point of our run along the Lycian Way. After spending a day in the city, Dima and I set off by hitchhiking to the village of Hisarçandır, from where we planned to start our route, while Dianka stayed for a few days with our couchsurfing friends, the couple Gaye and Denis...
On the way to our friends, we walked through the central part of the city...
We literally entered the old part through gates built during the Roman Empire...
On the street, Dima was persuaded to clean his sneakers, or rather to coat them with some cream to repel moisture... The "cobbler" did everything in the Turkish tradition - first persuade, then perform, and only then name the price and ask for money. We paid with buns left over from Istanbul... Moreover, all the cream the cobbler used soaked through the fabric and also smeared Dima's feet...
Narrow streets, flowers, and the sunny weather of the last days of September...
The so-called truncated minaret, which was once added to a Christian church...
A chapel that was built with funds from the German emperor as a gift to the Turkish sultan...
We didn't miss the chance to enter one of the mosques...
In Antalya, you can simply stroll along the coastline and admire the views...
Within the city is the very picturesque Lower Düden Waterfall...
The number of cats on the streets of Antalya is impressive... They are very loved here... Constantly fed and provided with a whole complex of houses...
Date palms covered with fruit...
The port of Antalya...
A long pebble beach where Dianka loved to spend time...
Usually, due to constant haze, the mountains are almost invisible, but at the change of weather, the mountains reveal themselves in all their beauty...
