Lithuania. Trakai

In the town of Trakai, on one of the shores of Lake Galvė, stands the largest preserved medieval castle in Lithuania – Trakai Castle. You can reach the town from Vilnius in just 40-50 minutes by bus. Naturally, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to visit such a picturesque place...
From the bus station to the castle is about 2 kilometers, and there it is, the castle on the water...

A long wooden bridge leads to the castle...

We felt that we had seen enough and didn’t buy tickets to the castle, opting instead to rent a pedal boat and sail around the castle on the lake...

Sailing around the castle on the lake...

Yachts and two-story tourist boats also sail around the lake...

The opportunity to see the castle from different angles and to pedal around the lake added a special touch to our visit to this historical site...

Towards the end of our visit, the weather suddenly worsened, gray clouds covered the sky, and we hurried back to the bus station...
